Plenty of these with scope for improvement and, with the ground an unknown for the entire field, the safest option could be to stick with CAPTAIN CARDINGTON. The Epsom winner finished a respectable seventh in a much higher grade than this at Goodwood last time and gets a tentative vote. Loyal Master was also tried in better company recently but was well beaten and the C&D winner will be more at home at this level, while Broxbourne scored over track and trip before finishing fourth at Newmarket and she could figure. Sunny Side Up and Bedlam are others to consider.
