Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute's Marakash is likely to be at short odds for this maiden. The Aga Khan-owned three-year-old may not be one of his stable's better horses but showed enough on his Wolverhampton reappearance to suggest he would be more than capable of taking a race of this nature. The newcomers, Versailles and Crown Flyer, trained by Lynda Ramsden and Mark Johnston respectively may prove to be the biggest dangers as they would not need to be out of the ordinary to be threats.
