In depth

Verdict

Prairie Sun may not have got home at Pontefract on her penultimate start but there was no question that she did so at Catterick last time and she is taken to follow up here, with Whoopsie looking the biggest danger. The selection goes particularly well on fast ground, so if the rains stay away she looks a good favourite here. Her win at Catterick last time was decisive, with the front pair drawing clear, and she looks more than capable of defying a penalty in an relatively uncompetitive event. Whoopsie won from the front at Musselburgh last time, but the race was a muddling affair and the form has to be questioned, so she is taken on. Isa'af would probably prefer slower ground to be at his best, as would John Forbes, while Arch Folly is a bit of a one pacer, and so we will stick with Prairie Sun to score.
