In depth

Verdict

MATTMU stands out in this. Beaten only a head in soft ground at Doncaster on his debut, Tim Easterby's charge finished well in front of the re-opposing Mountain Man and should have enough to open his account in this company. The latter's stablemate Bowson Fred never figured at Musselburgh on his introduction albeit in Class 2 company while the newcomers will need to be above average to come out best. That includes Triggers Boom, a half-sister to a Group 1 winner in Hong Kong, who makes more appeal than Northgate Lad and Miami Carousel.
