Verdict
Six-times winner MAGICAL EFFECT is on a long losing run but is now on his lowest-ever mark on his 67th start and can defy an outside draw. Paddy Elliott is 0-27 and though performing reasonably well can hardly be trusted to see this through despite a lowly mark. Hardy's best run to date came over the track and trip last month but he's run poorly subsequently while stablemate Global Vision has only scored on the all-weather. Stripzee's only victory came in a Redcar seller a year ago though this isn't much better.
