Verdict

Bo McGinty and Whiskey Creek have been going well on the all-weather surfaces this winter but may be a little high in the handicap on their return to turf so instead we prefer the chances of SUPERMASSIVE MUSE ahead of Obe Gold in a very competitive affair. The selection's last victory came three starts back in similar conditions off a mark six pounds lighter but showed higher marks are within his scope by holding his form well towards the end of last season. There is a further four pounds extra to carry here but the form lines from some good runs in similar company look strong and he goes well fresh. Obe Gold was once rated in the 100's but is now on the decline. That said he does retain some ability having won off a mark six pounds lighted in a weaker race at Lingfield last time out. He goes best on quick ground when racing on grass so conditions should suit for a big run. Manzila is another you can add to calculations as he placed in a listed event last season as well as running well in Group company and he's weighted to be involved but to win this we side with Supermassive Muse.
