Ashes goes well over the minimum trip and with doubts about the others she is taken to get back to winning ways ahead of Rann Na Cille, Jabbara, Toy Top and Metal Guru. The selection was a Wolverhampton winner over this trip off a 7lb higher mark in April. Admittedly this is turf and not polytrack, but she is consistent enough and handles fast ground so she can take her turn to score. Rann Na Cille took a Ripon selling handicap last time and even with a 6lb penalty she should still be competitive here in what is not a hot contest. Jabbara drops back in trip after a 6f Folkestone success and that is not certain to suit, while Metal Guru possesses enough speed over 5f to show that her Wolverhampton win was no fluke and can go close again. But Ashes has a fair bit going for her and from a good pitch she can strike gold.
