Richard Hannon looks to have found a good opportunity for SILENT SECRET to get herself off the mark, while Whirly Dancer can go well and China Lily is an interesting newcomer. The selection is progressing nicely and looked the pick when eventually runner-up at Goodwood when stepped up to a mile last week. Her form in the context of this race is very strong and she should now be good enough on ground that suits. Whirly Dancer was still a little green when runner-up here, beaten comfortably, last time out. She is worth a market check again this time to see if there has been any progress at home in the past fortnight, and she is probably capable of making the frame again. Mad Millie has to overcome a mishap last time and if you overlook her abortive attempt in a Group 2 in August she has a squeak based on her earlier maiden form. Debutant China Lily represents Godolphin, whose juveniles have been flying. That may be enough to see her get heavily involved, although pedigree suggests that next year may be more fruitful. Stablemate Nafura has shown little so far, while Always De One is related to juvenile winners and would not be a shock scorer first time. Silent Secret gets the nod.
