In depth
Verdict
With both Distant King and Hakeem seemingly out of their depth this looks to lie between just five runners. Of the quintet, only Sir Effendi has yet to race in public this term but, with Marcus Tregoning's stable beginning to hit form, the son of Nashwan should not be discounted. Border Subject should appreciate this longer trip having been outpaced over six furlongs on his reappearance. Atlantic Ace and Lascombes may do better under more testing conditions, while Gold Quest was well beaten at Leicester and may need another start before finding his best form.
