In depth

Verdict

Nothing rock solid but KISSING CLARA shaped with more promise last time and is narrowly preferred to Last Destination and Lady Morganna. Stan Moore's filly was 50/1 at Brighton last time out but got to within two lengths of the winner Two Feet Of Snow. She looks to be learning with her racing and a repeat of that seaside run may be enough today. Lady Morganna has contested some fair maidens including on debut at Newmarket behind Penny's Pearl however her recent Kempton run puts her on the scene, as does Mirror Lad's effort at the same track in April although his effort since at Carlisle leaves a little to be desired. With the yard in good form the newcomer Caramella Brownie is respected, especially if the market speaks in her favour, whilst Last Destination needs to prove that his debut second at the track was no fluke; he will find this easier than behind Ladies Are Forever last time out. Bathwick Siesta is not ignored coming up to Yorkshire from his trainer's Berkshire base however we are happy to plump for Kissing Clara.
