In depth

Formwatch

Lady Coldunell Second to Carousing over 2 miles in May; 2lb lower here and strong handling guaranteed.

Keep Ikis Thereabouts in similar contests; trainer is doing reasonably well with her older horses so a possibility here.

Simlet Would be better if eight flights of hurdles were put in his way; difficult to fancy against loftier opponents.

Magic Waters Yet to race over anything like this trip; market may prove best guide here

Taffrail Two fair efforts over 1m6f this season;but trainer looks to be in indifferent form at present.

Best Port (IRE) Easy winner over course and distance; chance if reproducing here.

Blue Hawk (IRE) Fair plater over the hurdles but nothing obvious in the formbook to suggest he'll be up to winning this contest.

Simple Ideals (USA) Has winning form over 1m7f but will Tinkler be able to galvanise enough speed from him in the finish

Havana (IRE) Stayed on to be second to Best Port at 50/1 latest; he won't be that today but opposable here.

Three Eagles (USA) Looks a doubtful stayer.

Trotter's Future Very consistent this term; up in trip again but has looked as if he should be able to handle 2m.

Deep Dale Difficult to assess how good he is on his jumps form but doesn't look particularly special.

Repton Fair effort behind Danegold latest but question marks as to whether he truly stays this trip.

Spa Lane Consistent enough over this sort of trip but invariably finds one or two too good.

Cottam Lilly No promise before over extreme trips and no reason to suggest otherwise today.

Dig For Gold Better known as a hurdler; moderate form on the flat and readily opposed.

Nikita's Star (IRE) Thrown in on old form; now races off a mark of 27 (won off 73); may be each-way value here.
