        Verdict

        A couple of three-year-olds have won this recently and Modern Lady is running well enough to get involved from her inside draw, though she doesn't win very often. Majestic Manannan is also well berthed and the fact that he likes a stiff 5f is in his favour on this track. Dark Opal likes some cut in the ground so conditions should be ideal but Medici Time, whose last victory was a year ago at Newmarket, is only slowly coming down the weights. BEAU MISTRAL is drawn in the centre and her rider can choose which path to take as they sometimes come down the stands' side if the going turns soft. He ran very well at the Curragh last month and found 6f on rain softened ground too much to handle at Haydock.
