In a tricky claimer to judge SALTERGATE seems to set the standard based on his narrow reverse at Redcar with Nellie Ellis looking a danger as just one of two in the line-up with winning form which brings into play the other one My Lord. In contention in three of his four starts to date the pick bounced back to form to be collared late on last time out and having beat home one who went on to win off a mark of 77 three starts back he sets a fair standard. Nellie Ellis got her win in one of these races over course and distance two starts back beating one rated 73 which give her a clear chance in this line-up. My Lord scored on debut in a seller but couldn't improve on that next time up while Press Release wasn't held that far off a rating of 66 in handicap company last time so should go close. Forever Vienna showed decent improvement on his second start and should progress again but Saltergate is a decent yardstick and should take this.
