Vaunted has been well beaten in handicaps either side of winning a seller here and is fitted with a hood. A tongue-tie is applied to Brazen Akoya, who finished runner-up to Golden Gal at Wolverhampton last month but the latter is 8lb higher today having subsequently found FYLINGDALE too good at Catterick. Tim Easterby’s charge could have had more luck with the draw but has plenty of scope for further progress with an apprentice’s allowance reducing a 6lb rise.
