    Verdict

CARANBOLA can boast six previous victories over course and distance including this race in 2010. She began this season on a 7lb higher mark and Mel Brittain's mare can return to winning ways after hinting at a return to form in better company here last time. The veteran Indian Trail is no stranger to success here either though he remains 2lb higher than last season's victory over track and trip while Six Wives is another capable of going close on her day. The remainder are harder to fancy on their recent form but Master Rooney has tumbled down the weights and as is the way with sprinters, may return to form when least expected.
