Verdict

Arantes had been hurdling before a moderate return to the Flat at Chepstow on Tuesday and will probably find the ground too quick. The front-running LEADERENE prefers further but will be sharp enough after his run over 1m4f here last month and is taken to make all. Moccasin won a similar class handicap at Wetherby but couldn't handle the step up in grade and softer ground at Ripon later. Fazza has won on fast ground though that was a long time ago. Though again running well on his favourite track at Pontefract last month, the going was on the soft side. The lightly-raced Response has bits and pices of form that give him a chance though he was well beaten on his comeback over hurdles at Fakenham in March. Saint Thomas prefers further but King Of The Celts likes it here and has dropped to a very lowly mark after a long losing run.
