Verdict
El Dececy ran an encouraging race on his reappearance at Doncaster last week and, off the same mark today, he has solid claims and gets the vote ahead of Mister Arjay and Mr Crystal. The last mentioned strictly holds Rocknest Island on running at Newcastle last week but a 9lb rise for his success there is harsh so he may be best watched. Synonymy has also paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his success at Warwick last time, while Rock 'n' Roller has more to do off a 3lb higher mark than when successful at Folkestone last time. Brian Ellison's Mister Arjay has shown a consistent level of form this season and should again be thereabouts but preference is for El Dececy.
