      Verdict

GOLD CLUB attempted to make all over 6f at Haydock but was headed in the closing stages. A drop down to the minimum trip seems the logical choice for Ed McMahon's colt and he's less exposed than the others with an official handicap mark including Fredricka. The latter went close over 5f on a couple of occasions last month while Stellarta also has claims on her latest second in a handicap at Chepstow. Chuckamental has a bit to find at the weights and Penny Pursuits may improve past him.
