Verdict

The first rule in these races is to see what Serena Brotherton is riding - Irregardless for Irish trainer Donal Kinsella. But he has run seven times, never raced beyond 7f nor been less than 25/1 having hardly beaten a horse home in big fields - the obvious inference is to watch the market. Sarah Bowen gave Long Call a lovely winning ride at Newmarket on Saturday and has picked up a nice ride on Amity Island, a comfortable winner here last week though untested in these conditions. Graceful Act has won twice around here, including when two lengths in front of subsequent winner Maldonado in July, and is a regular in these races though THE RUTLAND REBEL is comfortably the form pick. Patrick Millman was on board when he beat Gylo and Brutalab, who have won four times between them subsequently, at Pontefract last month and, providing he handles the ground, looks the one to be on. Five-times track winner Bollin Ted can never be discounted here.
