Verdict

It took a while for the penny to drop with Lemon Drop Red, but he followed up a win at Brighton with victory at Wolverhampton three weeks ago. He should be thereabouts again off a 4lb higher mark and makes more appeal than Record Breaker, who showed a bit of improvement at Ffos Las last time. However, ALFOUZY went close on her handicap debut at Kempton when runner-up to the progressive Making Eyes and she looks up to landing this with plenty of scope for improvement. Red Fama has claims dropping back in trip and Grey Command was runner-up in lesser company here earlier this month.
