Verdict
Bond Bombshell scored off a 6lb lower mark over track and trip last month but has run well at Redcar on a couple of occasions subsequently. ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR is drawn widest today but went close to overcoming the disadvantage of stall 12 when runner-up to Ziggy Lee over course and distance last week. Ruth Carr’s sprinter beat Innocently, Flicka's Boy and Burtonwood in the process and can go one better today. Captain Bob drops in class and could bounce back at any time off his current mark. He makes most appeal of the remainder who include Noodles Blue Boy.
