Verdict
Not much public form to go on here but Lodgician sets a fair standard here and is taken to score at the main expense of Ball Boy and Banknote. The selection missed the break on his debut but then stayed on encouragingly, and he confirmed that promise with a decent effort at Newcastle last time behind John Forbes. He has conditions to suit here and the talented Paul Hanagan in the saddle and he looks the one to beat. Ball Boy caught the eye at Epsom last time when staying on strongly at the finish behind In The Fan. He was slowly away that day and if he does not give his rivals a start here then he could go very close. Banknote clearly has ability but he ran very green last time at Carlisle behind King Of Love. He certainly has to be shortlisted but he will need to have come on for that run to take this. Of the remainder, Terminate hails from the in-form Sir Mark Prescott yard so is worth a second look in the market on his racecourse debut, but for the winner we return to Lodgician.
