In depth

Verdict

Sophie Smith steered ESTRELA STAR to victory in a tougher amateurs’ race than this at Newbury last week and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him. Le Bayou and Dandy's Angel filled the places over track and trip a fortnight ago though the latter finished behind Violette Szabo over 1m4f here last month. Point Of Honour ran well for Pippa Brown at Catterick last time and drops back down in trip.
