Verdict

COTE D'AZUR completed a hat-trick for Sir Mark Prescott before transferring to local handler Les Eyre for who he won a Ripon handicap in the style of a very progressive type. He has a stiffer test here but looks equal to it and gets the vote over Mainstream. Sir Michael Stoute's Dansili colt has been running well without quite showing the kind of improvement expected when making a successful reappearance in May and has gone up 5lb for finishing second last time. His Kyllachy landed a Carlisle maiden but was beaten 5l when runner-up on his handicap debut at Leicester while Haraz has now been placed in ten of his 13 starts without winning. Navajo War Dance only ever runs on soft ground so recent rain will do his chances no harm and he's on a lower mark than when gaining his only victory at Ayr in May.
