In depth

Verdict

Plenty of in-form performers here and narrow preference goes to Wrighty Almighty ahead of Ten To The Dozen and Young Bertie. The selection comes here on the back of a sequence of consistent efforts and with the ground to suit, he should take all the beating at a track that he loves. Young Bertie is another very consistent type and should again go well given that he still looks on a fair mark. Rowan Lodge scored in a weak seller last time and now needs to step up on that, whilst Ten To The Dozen looks a threat despite being out of the handicap. Despite one win in 17 starts, he rates a danger with the decent William Carson aboard. Kavachi is another to consider especially if the rain comes as he stays well, however in a tricky opener it is Wrighty Almighty who gets the nomination.
