        Verdict

        Libre, who missed an engagement at Nottingham earlier in the week, is taken to score in the first time blinkers. Runner-up in what looked a competitive nursery at Doncaster last week, he can actually run off a 5lb lower mark in this. Special Envoy comes here in good form having just failed to peg back Staff Nurse over seven-furlongs at Leicester earlier in the week. Back over a more suitable trip here, he is a big danger, while others to consider include top weight Phaedra, who turned in a personal best at Newmarket behind Howle Hill and Fine Frenzy, who looked as though a stiffer test would suit when running on over what looked an inadequate seven-furlongs at Lingfield.
