Verdict

Landowner is an interesting newcomer from Saeed Bin Suroor's in-form stable and the son of Shamardal could easily be good enough to win at the first time of asking but KONA COAST sets a decent standard and gets the vote to open his account with Bush Master rated the best of the rest. The selection stepped up from a promising debut outing in a Newmarket maiden when running a close fifth in a decent Newbury maiden last month and he looks the one to beat judged by that effort. Amanda Perrett's Green Earth was well held in a Newbury maiden last time and my do better in handicaps, while Roger Charlton's Walcot Square has run promisingly but needs to improve to trouble the selection. Richard Hannon's Bush Master has shown a consistent level of form having been placed in each of his last three starts and he rates the main danger to Kona Coast, who looks the one to beat.
