In depth
Verdict
A 6lb penalty for her win on soft ground at Bath last week is likely to prevent Madam Isshe from following up that victory and a better bet looks to be ANNIA GALERIA, who gets the vote. Chris Dwyer's filly faces no easy task racing off a mark of 59 over course and distance last week but she lost no caste in defeat when only beaten under a length and has an obvious chance of going one better today racing off a 10lb lower mark today. Kinigi showed improved form at Bath last time but that was over six furlongs and he may not be suited by the drop back to the minimum, while Northern Genes has been given a chance by the handicapper but needs to step up on recent form. Shakespeare's Son has run some reasonable races of late but has only won once from 43 starts so looks best left out of calculations.
