Mark Rimmer's DENTON RYAL escapes a penalty for his comfortable win in an apprentices' handicap at Salisbury last month and is hard to oppose racing off the same mark today in a race where the main dangers look to be Celestial Girl and Until The Man. Laura Mongan's gelding showed improved form when chasing home Kerchak at Goodwood last month and he has to be respected off just a 1lb higher mark today. Stan Moore's Kathindi has been given a chance by the handicapper and can now race off a career low mark but he needs to step up on the form shown at Salisbury last time to take a hand in the finish here. Barry Hills has his string in good heart so the lightly raced Fancy Star has to be considered but it is hard to get away from Denton Ryal, who won so impressively last time and can race off the same mark today.
