In depth

Verdict

Melabi beat the top-class Ribchester in a Doncaster maiden last summer but their paths have taken different directions since. William Haggas' gelding has been showing a bit more lately in a hood but has still been a beaten favourite in his last two. KING OF DREAMS hasn't run since May and sports blinkers on his reappearance but he looked progressive in the spring and can get back to winning ways. Frozen Force shouldn't be far away but looks a few pounds too high at present. The versatile Innoko is another to consider but Just Be Lucky's three wins this year have come in lesser contests. Best Tamayuz will enjoy the ground but also has a bit to find in this grade.
