        Verdict

        This is another handicap where recent good form among the runners is in short supply leading us to side with KYLE OF BUTE who put in a decent effort last time and is expected to get the better of Green Poppy and Caerus. The John Dunlop-trained selection clearly isn't one of the yard's leading lights but at least ran well here last time. The drop in trip is a slight concern but this looks a weaker heat. Green Poppy is now 12 pounds lower than at the start of the season and must surely find her level soon while Caerus takes a significant drop in class. He only finished 11th at Newmarket last time but is another who the assessor is showing leniency to at the moment. Any market move would be significant.
