Verdict

MISS INGA SOCK (NAP) was only third at Chepstow on Monday when chasing a hat-trick but she’s back at her favourite course today and soft ground was a legitimate excuse earlier in the week. If the rains stay away, Eve Johnson Houghton’s mare looks the one to be on with Georgia Cox excellent value for her claim. Strictly Art has picked up a penalty for his win in an amateurs’ handicap at Goodwood while Betsalottie has only won on Polytrack so far, though went close in a classified stakes over track and trip last time. Transmitting may have needed his comeback run and first start for Ed Vaughan at Kempton but remains winless.
