In depth

Verdict

Border Artist is given the tentative nod ahead of Blue Empire and Didoe. The former ran a creditable race in an Epsom claimer and having placed previously in handicap company at this unique circuit, he appears to have more positives than most. Blue Empire has failed to make use of two good draws at Beverley but he is nevertheless in good heart and has to be respected at this grade. Didoe does not win often although he ran well in an amateur riders race at Bath. With today's drop in trip, connections may well choose to make more use of him on this occasion. Out For A Stroll and Love Design have to be respected as course-and-distance winners although they would need to pick up upon their recent racecourse performances. Whatatodo has shown form at similar tracks and the claim of Luke Morris could prove valuable come the business end of matters. Tuning Fork has plenty of early pace and is watched in the market. Many possibilities are held in a difficult race for the punters and Border Artist is taken to land the spoils.
