In depth
Verdict
A typically open sprint to bring proceedings to a close but Byo comes here in top form and gets the each way vote. Mick Quinn's gelding carries a 6lb penalty for landing a similar event at Bath last week and the form looks solid with the front two well clear of the remainder. The selection is still fairly treated on the pick of his old form and should give another good account under Jimmy Fortune once again. James Stark also comes here in winning form but had little to spare when scoring on the Polytrack last time and faces no easy task on his return to the turf under top weight. Jayanjay and Muqtadi have been kept busy on the all-weather during the winter but both disappointed last time and now have something to prove while White Ledger and General Smith are probably best watched on their seasonal return.
