Verdict
This is a competitive apprentice handicap to open the card and the leading lights look to be Fantasy Defender, Diamond Dan and Hadath with the vote given to Fantasy Defender. The selection won well last time when beating Balerno at Lingfield and with that confidence-booster under his belt he may be capable of following-up. He has run well on this track in the past and he looks the percentage call. Diamond Dan rates the main danger as he is closely-matched with our selection on their running at Lingfield last time. He has winning form on this track and he looks sure to be thereabouts at the finish. Hadath certainly has the form to win this but he normally reserves his best for Lingfield and he has been a little disappointing of late. Start Of Authority won over this course and distance last time so is the other with an obvious chance. However, for the winner we are happy to stick with Fantasy Defender.
