    Verdict

    Vice Captain was less than convincing upped to the extended 7f at Beverley though may prove better suited to this track. He edges Etihad Rail at the weights while Lady Ava is upped in trip having placed at Windsor on her debut. But the Johnston yard has a good record sending its representatives down from North Yorkshire and THE AFRICAN QUEEN, the first foal of a middle-distance winner, may prove good enough at the first time of asking.
