      Verdict

      Soaring Spirits won twice here in June before completing his hat-trick at Leicester. He's been competitive off higher marks since here but steps up a grade this afternoon and may find UPSTAGING too strong. Paul Cole's charge wasn't beaten far at Goodwood last month and a different form of headgear is applied today in an attempt to get him back on the winning trail. Pandar has won three times this year, including once here over a shorter trip. But his latest success came in a seller and this is a stronger heat. Gorokai wasn't disgraced back on Turf at Goodwood and Frenchman is nicely handicapped nowadays and should be winning again soon, though possibly over an extra furlong.
