      Verdict

      BEAU MISTRAL has won twice on the all-weather this year but he’s done most of his winning on Turf, including here in August. He’s 9lb higher but has been in better form than both Doctor Parkes and Panther Patrol. The latter, like Essaka, is a course and distance winner but Jim Crowley’s mount lacks a recent run so his stablemate is preferred. Magical Peak is a modest performer who is 5lb out of the handicap.
