Verdict

IMBUCATO beat Watch Tan over track and trip before landing an apprentice’s handicap over a mile here at last week’s meeting. He escapes a penalty as a consequence and can go in again. Several have been thereabouts lately including Passing Star and Emily Goldfinch. The latter makes a quick reappearance after finishing second at Salisbury three days ago but last year’s winner The Special One hasn’t raced since February. Violet's Lads has gone close the last twice but has yet to win in 13 attempts now.
