Verdict
A poor handicap to end the day's proceedings in which Badou is given the vote to confirm Goodwood superiority over Princess Shoka, with Alabastrine rated the main danger. The selection was showing improved form for the step up to a mile at Goodwood, when failing by a head to catch Muyassir. Of the same mark today, he has an obvious chance of taking advantage of what looks a favourable rating. Sir Mark Prescott's Alabastrine is open to improvement after just three starts and makes his debut in this grade. With his stable in good form, the daughter of Green Desert has to be respected but she makes limited appeal at the forecast odds. Academy Brief, second over hurdles at Exeter recently, and Princess Anabaa, who has to carry a 7lb penalty for winning a moderate Pontefract maiden on her most recent start, are others to consider but we are happy to side with Badou.
