Verdict
STEIG gets the vote to gain further victory after his recent course success ahead of Gross Prophet and Ogre. The selection won a claimer here over a mile on the 10th of July. Connections have not aimed high once again and he has been put into this race with a similar claiming price meaning that he is sure to go close again if he shows the same level of form. Gross Prophet comes from the much respected Tom Dascombe yard. He has only been lightly raced this season winning the first of his two races. He was not discredited in a better race than this at York last time out and can once again be in the shake up. Ogre won a claimer at Pontefract at the back end of last season but has disappointed in two handicap races this season so far. Now he is dropped back in grade is should ne monitored in the betting market. Steig however looks the form pick and is given preference.
