It was heavy ground at Lingfield when Perfect Pastime won over the minimum trip while You're My Cracker continues to find one too good and finished runner-up for the fourth time in succession at Wolverhampton last time. Bush Warrior is another usually thereabouts off his current mark without being good enough while both Essaka and Fujiano won their maidens over track and trip but were well beaten in handicaps last time. HEARTSONG has been competing in tougher races of late but was beaten only a short-head here in this grade back in May and gets the nod on that form.
