Verdict
HEADLINE ACT may well have been turned over at short odds on his second start at Goodwood last month but John Gosden's colt has every opportunity of going one better in what seems a weaker race here and he gets the vote to do so ahead of Block Party and Takeover Bid. The last mentioned ran promisingly on his debut at Leicester last week and as Mark Johnston's juveniles normally improve for their first start, there should be more to come from the son of Empire Maker. John Dunlop's Sairaam certainly ran better at Goodwood last time than he had done on his debut but probably needs to improve again to trouble the judge, while Jeremy Noseda's Double Rubble may do better once sent handicapping. Roger Charlton's Block Party has run well in both starts so far and he has to be considered but it is hard to get away from Headline Act, who gets the vote.
