Verdict
Another shocking contest where Ogre can scare off his rivals, with Nawamees the likely danger. The selection is best off at the weights here and has won over both a mile and 9f, though has only had one previous try at this 10f. As a result there is still a need for the filly to prove she stays this far, but with the weight advantage and the good form of her yard we will side with her. Top weight Nawamees is next best and will get every yard of this, having already won over further on several occasions. Conversely, Gary Moore's gelding has not won over as short as this, so it is an interesting decision for punters to make. Karmei steps up in trip and this should suit the John Hills-trained maiden, and Split The Wind is exposed but has place claims on her best form. Even so, Ogre is attractively weighted and can put the frighteners on the opposition.
