In depth

Verdict

Saluem has shown admirable consistency around this trip this season and has the chance of picking up his first win of the season here. He has gone well for an apprentice in the past and has the ability to land this below par handicap. Mythical King is another consistent sort who is thrown in on his old form. His recent form leaves something to be desired but he has been given a little break and could come back fired up. Shaman has bits and pieces of useful form over 10 furlongs but has shown in the past he can cope with this sort of trip. He has each-way possibilities. Spring Pursuit would have been a strong favourite for this event in times gone by. He seems to have lost a little enthusiasm for the game at present but if returning to his old form he cannot be overlooked. TEAMtalk opt for Joely Green in this contest to continue his fine run of recent form. He rarely runs a bad race at this track and his form looks superior to his rivals. A win would give his jockey his first winning ride.
