        Verdict

        Cape Velvet, Winning Show and Power Ballad look the three to concentrate on here and the narrow vote is given to Winning Show. The selection was a fair second behind Gordonsville last time out. The drop in trip may help as he pulled hard on that occasion and with his yard in form he is a speculative choice. Cape Velvet rates the main danger on his latest third behind Kildare Sun he goes on any ground and will not be far away. Power Ballad is sure to strip fitter for his first run of the season and as he is unexposed he should be watched in the market. Of the remainder, the booking of Richard Hughes for Goose Green catches the eye but in a race that throws up more questions than answers Winning Show is our idea of the winner.
