In depth

Verdict

Georgia Dobie, who partners Spirituoso, is the only of these apprentices to have ridden a winner on this switchback track. HELLAVAPACE is having a first try over a mile following a lay-off but placed in his last three starts last year and is lightly raced. With Harry Burns good value for his claim in a contest like this, he gets a tentative vote. Velocity is even less exposed and The Whipmaster is also capable of better this year but Study The Stars has gone up 4lb for winning at Kempton, though Keelan Baker claims 7lb so he is still potentially well treated. Smokey Malone may be best of the rest.
