Verdict

From our shortlist of Regal Dream, Talcen Gwyn and Elisha, we will side with Regal Dream. Regal Dream might be worth taking a chance on here as John Hills' filly caught the eye when a staying-on fifth at Windsor last time. The best of her all-weather form, including running the progressive Guildenstern to a length at Lingfield, gives her a clear chance and these are the principal reasons for building a case for her chance. Talcen Gwyn bounced back to winning ways over a slightly shorter trip here five days ago and, so long as the going does not become soft, looks set to go well again. Goldhill Prince did well here in claimers last year but, overall, needs to improve a little to be given a solid chance, while Elisha ran well over course and distance last September and might be able to build on that today. Do not close the door on Whatatodo either, as the best of her maiden and handicap form entitles her to some thought but, for the winner, we wills side with Regal Dream.
