Verdict

TOM FOLAN looks the one to be on in the last, while Barlaman and Super Yellow look likely to give him plenty to do. Six furlongs and decent ground certainly suit Super Yellow, who scored over the trip at Warwick when it was described as good earlier in the month. However, he was comfortably held off this mark last time and may just find one or two too good. Barlaman has been slowly slipping in the weights and races off a career-low 67 today. Clive Brittain's colt is unproven on the ground but this trip is ideal and he is shortlist material. Universal Circus is interesting dropped slightly in class and also in trip, but there are concerns over the latter and a market check is our best advice and we prefer Tom Folan. The Andrew Reid-trained pick is back up in distance for this race after scoring over 5f at Newmarket. The ground is ideal for her, and although she hasn't yet shown her best over this far she is bred to do so, so we will side with her.
