Verdict
Fillies races of this nature are never the easiest of contests to weigh up so there has to be a certain amount of trepidation in forwarding Al Shuua as the selection after her below-par effort at Pontefract earlier in the month. Cherubim, who finished two lengths behind Punctilious in her second start as a juvenile, is the obvious danger and has to merit plenty of respect. However, her fortunes have gone in a very separate direction this season and she does look one to be wary of for the time being. Miss Monica is already held by the selection after they met in a similar race at Goodwood. But it would not be surprising to see her ridden with more restraint this time and she has to rate as a very big threat to them all. That said, Al Shuua showed good battling qualities in her penultimate start and, as this looks a much easier task back against her own sex, Clive Brittain's charge is given the benefit of the doubt in a typically trappy fillies contest.
